England) is an English
football player who currently plays for
Arsenal
as a defender. His debut performance came against
Sunderland A.F.C. on
November 6,
2002 in the League
Cup. He made his first starting appearance on
May 7,
2003 against
Southampton F.C., in a 6-1 win which saw hat-tricks from
Robert
Pirès and
Jermaine Pennant.
However, dogged by injury (shin
splints) during the 2003-04 season, he might have to rely on a speedy return
to full fitness to appear again for the first team.
