Pascal Cygan (born April 19, 1974 in Lens) is a French football player, currently playing for Arsenal F.C.. He plays as a central defender.

Before joining Arsenal for 2.1 million pounds, Cygan played for ES Wasquehal and Lille OSC.

Cygan made his Arsenal debut in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea as a substitution for Nwankwo Kanu on September 1, 2002.

While Cygan has featured notably in some of Arsenal's more important fixtures, he is not usually a first choice player and is regarded by many as one of the less talented members of the current Arsenal team. As of 2005 he is Arsenal's fourth choice central defender behind Sol Campbell, Kolo Touré and Philippe Senderos.

He has scored three goals in Premiership action, including an unlikely brace in his first match of the 2005-06 campaign, against Fulham. Until that match, he had only scored one previous goal for the team.
